Consistency and innovation are probably two of the most important pillars for any show to gain a boost and earn the love of fans. Yellowjackets is one such show that has managed to excel in every department, providing a great plot while maintaining its charm along the way.
Now, there’s an update about the future of Yellowjackets.
Series co-creator Ashley Lyle gave clear instructions about what’s going on with the show, stating that they are actively working on writing Season 3. Though writing is their main focus now, there is still no filming date set for Yellowjackets 3.
“We’re in the midst of [writing] right now. I don’t want to give too much away. I always get in trouble,”
During the interview, Ashley also gave us a taste of what to expect from the future season of Yellowjackets.
Lyle hinted that Season 3 would evoke the vibe of Season 1, suggesting that the characters, who have been surviving in the wilderness for some time, are thriving in their environment.
The show is definitely different from typical apocalypse or survival dramas. Yellowjackets delves deeper into the psychology of the characters, focusing not only on the girls after the crash and how they got back to civilization but also on the aftermath of the show.
Currently, the first two seasons of Yellowjackets are streaming on Netflix and JioCinema.
