The release date for Siddharth Malhotra’s upcoming movie ‘Yodha’ has been changed again. The movie will now be released on the 8th of December.
‘Yodha’ stars Siddharth Malhotra, Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna. The movie is directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha. The movie will be an action thriller and it is being produced under the banner of Dharma Productions.
The movie was first announced to be releasing on the 7th of July but it was then postponed for September. Finally it was announced that the movie will hit the theaters on the 15th of December.
There are a lot of movies to be released in December and the inevitable clash is the reason for this sudden change in dates. Ranbir Kapoor’s much awaited ‘Animal’ releases on December 1. Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Sam Bahadur’ is also slated for release on December 1. Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ and Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’ are having a huge clash on December 22.
‘Dunki’ and ‘Salaar’ are two of the biggest titles in the list and having only a 7 day gap between the releases is not a very profitable decision. So ‘Yodha’ now releases on December 8. However, it will not have the screens to itself. Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Merry Christmas’, directed by Sriram Raghavan, has also, all of a sudden, changed the release dates to December 8. Merry Christmas too was going to be released on the 15th of Dec. It is quite a heavy coincidence that the two films are clashing after both changed their release dates.
