Your honor season 1 was released last year in 2020. It received huge applause from the audience and critics alike. Not only did it break the courtroom drama stereotype but also gave us a good dose of thrill. The same courtroom drama stereotype that was stuffed into our heads for many decades finally came to an end. However, films like Shahid were trying to do so for a long time but they did not have the same impact as Your Honor did.
You would be surprised to know that this series is not completely original. No, we are not talking about the American Web series of the same name. It is however inspired by an Israeli web series called Kvodo.
This series shows a blurred line of morality, ethics, responsibility and love. What would a father do if some goons kidnap his son? In an ideal situation, he would go to the police and the case might be dragged into court. But imagine for a second, that the father whose son is kidnapped is a judge. And adding to that, he should be giving sentences against those who are his son’s kidnapper. Well, this story may not sound that interesting. But, its execution in the series is something worth the praise.
So it is the second season of the same web series and Abeer, who is the judge’s son, goes missing. So what will happen next is a mystery till 19th November. This series directed by E. Niwas and starring Jimmy Shergill, Varun Badola, Mita Vashisht, Parul Gulati, Pulkit Makol, Yashpal Sharma is coming next weekend.
