Zee5 AIMS to Compete With Tiktok, Set to Launch Its Own PlatformZee5 is all set to compete with the likes of Tiktok and Instagram etc. with its own short-form video content platform. They are calling it Hypershots.

The big brains behind Zee5 don’t want to be left behind in any space in the digital medium. They want Zee5 to become the “Super-App of Entertainment”. It should be the one place where everything should be available to the consumers.

Tiktok has become a phenomenon of sorts in the short-form video segment. The user’s addiction to it has led to banning for a short period. It was, therefore, only a matter of time, before someone locally created a similar version.

Hypershots will allow users to make forty seconds short videos and upload on the platform. The user is expected to be from the common public as well as celebrities. An exact date for the launch is not yet known. But it is going to arrive in the last quarter of the year.

A new platform is only addition and doesn’t mean Zee5 would lose its focus on the existing OTT space. They are aggressively pursuing the content for digital streaming. They are planning to release at least 20 films this year.
