ZEE5 has just revealed the trailer for its upcoming crime drama series ‘Seven’. ZEE5 has also announced a release date for the show. All episodes of ‘Seven’ will premiere on ZEE5 on 17th March, 2023.
‘Seven’ is a crime thriller, set in the backdrop of forests and hills. A bunch of friends go on a trip to a homestay in the hills. Along the way, they stumble upon a car crash, a dead body, cocaine, and a bag full of cash. Greed takes over the friends, and they grab the cash, deciding to distribute it equally amongst themselves. The shrewd owner of the homestay discovers their secret, and blackmails them into giving him a share. What follows is murder, mayhem, and a detective on their heels.
‘Seven’ is written and directed by prolific Bengali filmmaker, Anjan Dutt. Fans of Bengali content will know Dutt as a master storyteller of murder mysteries and crime dramas. The cast of ‘Seven’ includes popular Bengali actors such as Rahul Banerjee, Riddhima Ghosh, Gaurav Chakraborty, Ankita Chakraborty and Anjan Dutt himself.
ZEE5 has been aggressively promoting multi-lingual content on its platform, including Bengali. The streamer had announced a massive new slate of Bengali titles in December 2022, all from top Bengali content creators. It had also announced its plan to release one Bengali series every month on ZEE5. ‘Seven’ is a part of ZEE5’s previously announced Bengali slate.
