ZEE5 has upped the ante like never before. India’s most prolific homegrown OTT platform is on a shopping spree – of direct to digital releases! ZEE5 has picked up a slate of movies for streaming on its platform, several of which are direct to digital releases. What’s more, ZEE5 plans to release three of those movies on the same day itself – on 31st December, as part of a New Year’s Eve bonanza for its users.
The three films that will premiere on ZEE5 on 31st December are ‘Waah Zindagi’, ‘Murder At Teesri Manzil 302’ and ‘Turtle’.
‘Murder At Teesri Manzil 302‘ is the late Irrfan Khan‘s long-delayed film that has been awaiting release since 2007. Now that ZEE5 has picked up the film, it will finally see the light of day. Irrfan Khan plays a man entangled in the murder of a woman, who sets out to prove his innocence. The film also stars Ranvir Shorey and Lucky Ali in prominent roles. ‘Waah Zindagi’ is a coming-of-age film starring Naveen Kasturia, Vijay Raaz, Sanjay Mishra, Manoj Joshi and Plabita Borthakur. Naveen Kasturia plays a man who strives to make it big against all odds and much scheming and conniving from malicious elements to realise his dream endeavour. And finally, ‘Turtle‘ is the third film that ZEE5 will premiere on its platform on 31st December. The film earlier released on SonyLIV, and has now made its way to ZEE5. Turtle is set in the backdrop of the water crisis and is based on the real-life story of Ramkaran Choudhary (Bagod) from Dehlod, Rajasthan. It recounts the efforts of the man to single-handedly dig up water in a parched, drought-affected village of Rajasthan. Have a look at the trailer of Turtle here –

All three films will premiere on ZEE5 on 31st December. The other films picked up by ZEE5 for release on its platform include Subhash Ghai’s ’36 Farmhouse’, Kannada film Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana’ and Telugu film, ‘Varudu Kavalenu’.
