ZEE5 has just launched the first teaser for its upcoming crime and romantic thriller ‘Duranga’. The series is the official adaptation of Korean drama ‘Flower Of Evil’, which aired back in 2020.
The teaser for Duranga lays bare the intriguing plot of the series. Gulshan Devaiah plays a happily married man, Samit Patel, living the idyllic life with his cop wife Ira, played by Drashti Dhami, and their young daughter. Soon the teaser moves into darker territory. Samit Patel is not the mild-mannered married man he appears to be, but a wanted criminal. In the meanwhile, as Ira investigates a series of grisly murders, it soon dawns on her that her perfect husband may not be so perfect after all.
The ‘Duranga’ teaser is well-cut and builds just the right amount of suspense and thrill for the audiences to look forward to the series. Both lead actors are superbly cast – Drashti Dhami looks badass, no-nonsense and determined in her cop avatar. Gulshan Devaiah nails his act perfectly – sweet and unassuming one minute, unhinged and dangerous the very next.
Drashti Dhami fans are excited with the prospect of the pretty actress headlining ‘Duranga’. The series is produced by Goldie Behl, under his banner Rose Audio Visuals, alongside Shradha Singh. Pradeep Sarkar and Aijaz Khan have directed ‘Duranga’. The series also stars Rajesh Khattar, Divya Sheth, Zakir Hussain, Barkha Bisht, Abhijit Khandkekar and Hera Mishra in prominent roles.
‘Duranga’ will comprise of nine, action-packed episodes. No release date for the series has been revealed by ZEE5 yet.
