ZEE5 today revealed the official trailer for its upcoming spy series, ‘Mukhbir: The Story Of A Spy‘. The platform also announced the release date for the show. ‘Mukhbir: The Story Of A Spy’ premieres on ZEE5 on November 11.
‘Mukhbir: The Story Of A Spy’ boasts an excellent cast, comprising of Zain Khan Durrani, Prakash Raj, Adil Hussain, Barkha Sengupta, Zoya Afroz, Harsh Chhaya, Satyadeep Mishra and Karan Oberoi, among others. The series is directed by Shivam Nair, who has earlier helmed the Disney Plus Hotstar series ‘Special Ops’ and the Taapsee Pannu starrer Bollywood film, ‘Naam Shabana’. The series is produced by Victor Tango Entertainment.
The series is set in 1965 India. Pakistan is planning to attack India, but India wants to avoid another war at any cost. The Indian Intelligence Agency deploys an Indian secret agent, who enters and lives in Pakistan under an assumed identity. The courageous agent infiltrates the inner circle of the Pakistani military, and sends top-secret information back to India. In doing so, he manages to prevent yet another unwanted war between India and Pakistan.
‘Mukhbir: The Story Of A Spy’ is inspired from real events and real people. The series is a tribute to those unsung heroes who live in the shadows and give their life for the safety of the country. Mukhbir is the story of a brave man who defies odds and single-handedly enables India to evade several aggressive advances from the enemy country during the 1965 war. The story not only explores his bravery but also his vulnerabilities, which makes the character endearing and real.
