Suspense thriller ‘Duranga’ is easily one of the most awaited returning series on ZEE5. Digital viewers have been waiting eagerly for some/any announcement on Duranga Season 2. Their hopes have been answered, with this recent announcement from ZEE5.
The homegrown streaming powerhouse ZEE5 took to its social media handles last evening, to announce that a new season of Duranga is coming soon on the platform. Though ZEE5 did not reveal the all-important Duranga Season 2 release date, it did make another, very interesting reveal – the new entrant in Duranga Season 2!
As per ZEE5’s latest reveal, accomplished actor Amit Sadh will make an entry in Duranga Season 2. The streamer has also revealed a bit about Amit Sadh’s role and character in Duranga Season 2. He is playing the real Sammit Patel, who wakes up from a coma and goes after the man impersonating him in his absence. It is none other than Abhishek Banne (Gulshan Devaiah), who has been living as Sammit Patel. ZEE5 posted a short ‘coming soon’ motion poster on X, teasing Amit Sadh’s entry in the new season of Duranga.
For those who don’t know, ZEE5’s Duranga is the official Indian adaptation of hit Korean show, ‘Flower of Evil’. The mystery and suspense series has romance, thrill and numerous twists and turns, making it a thrilling watch. The series is produced by Goldie Behl’s Rose Audio Visuals. It is directed by talented filmmaker Rohan Sippy, who’s earlier directed films such as Kuch Naa Kaho, Bluffmaster!, Dum Maaro Dum, and Nautanki Saala, and the series Side Hero and Criminal Justice Season 2 & 3.
Duranga Season 2 will see the return of the primary cast, comprising Gulshan Devaiah, Drashti Dhami, Barkha Sen Gupta and Rajesh Khattar.
