With the lockdown, there is an increasing competition among the streaming platforms to cater to the kids. They also form a considerable chunk of the audience, and no one wants to miss them.
Most of the top OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus Hotstar, Voot Select etc. are already providing exclusive content for kids. Now, Zee5 has joined the ranks with Zee5 Kids. It will be offering over 4000 hours of content for free. They will be available across nine languages.
The content of Zee5 kids will be a combination of original and licensed one. The original shows are currently under production and will be streaming soon. They are Gadget Guru (movie and series), Guddu and Bapu. All are animation shows which cater to science-fiction, adventure and moral tale related stories liked by kids. There will be more in the coming days.
The licensed content is from Lionsgate and Cosmos Maya. Together, there is a vast library for Zee5 at the launch itself. The Zee5 Kids content can be accessed by parents from either 13 years category or 18 years, as well. The former allows a complete restriction of shows that are above the said age limit.
