After a long spell of dark and edgy content, digital viewers can look forward to a purely comedy series on OTT. We’re talking of ZEE5 Telugu’s upcoming comedy series, ‘Maa Neella Tank’. The romantic comedy stars Sushanth and Priya Anand in the lead roles. Maa Neella Tank promises to be the rare OTT show that is refreshingly light-hearted and breezy.
ZEE5 Telugu launched the character promos for the lead protagonists of Maa Neella Tank this week. SI Vamshi, played by Sushanth, and local gal Surekha, played by Priya Anand, are the typical young people of today – both bound by their respective duties. Inspector Vamshi is sick and tired of the banal cases he is assigned to crack, in the tiny, quiet village of Muchivolu. Surekha is compelled to marry the local rich man’s son out of a sense of duty to her parents. Sparks fly when fate throws Vamshi and Surekha together.
ZEE5 Telugu’s ‘Maa Neella Tank‘ boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Sushanth, Priya Anand, Lavanya Reddy, Sudharshan, Prem Sagar, Ramaraj, Nirosha Ratha, Divi Vadtthya, Vasu, among others. It is produced by Praveen Kolla, and directed by Lakshmi Sowjanya. The Telugu series will premiere on ZEE5 on July 15.
