ZEE5‘s recently announced massive slate of 11 Telugu Originals is making all the right noise on social media and in the entertainment world. ‘Recce’, its first offering from the aforementioned slate, impressed critics and audiences with its gritty story. Now, gearing up for release is the next in the lineup – comedy series ‘Maa Neella Tank’.
The romantic comedy series ‘Maa Neella Tank’ boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Sushanth, Priya Anand, Lavanya Reddy, Sudharshan, Prem Sagar, Ramaraj, Nirosha Ratha, Divi Vadtthya, Vasu, among others. ZEE5 is sparing no effort in creating buzz for its upcoming series. The platform has roped in Telugu star Nani to introduce the lead character of Maa Neella Tank, played by Sushanth.
Sushanth plays local police officer Vamshi, in the quiet village of Muchivolu. He is tasked with hunting down Surekha (Priya Anand), love interest of the suicidal Gopal (Sudharshan), but ends up falling for her instead. Maa Neella Tank marks the OTT debut of Sushanth.
Bringing Nani on board for Sushanth’s character reveal is a huge advantage for the makers of Maa Neella Tank, and ZEE5 Telugu. It will generate just the right interest and curiosity among digital viewers for the upcoming rom-com. Maa Neella Tank is produced by Praveen Kolla, and directed by Lakshmi Sowjanya. The Telugu series will premiere on ZEE5 on July 15.
