ZEE5’s “200: Halla Ho” Needs Your Attention And Here’s Why!

By Binged Bureau - Aug 19, 2021 @ 08:08 pm

ZEE5 is gearing up for the release of another of its ZEE5 original films, “200: Halla Ho”. The story of “200” is a unique retelling of an actual incident that caught the nation’s eyes when it took place. 200 is in most ways dark and disturbing, but despite that factor, it for sure needs attention and needs to be watched by everyone that wants justice to prevail. 200 will not only tell how justice is brought, but it will also tell how the caste system in our Indian society still prevails and has been prevailing and how it is affecting the supposed “weaker” communities and gender more than ever.

200: Hallo Ho, released on the 20th of August and it tells the real-life incident of how a mob of 200 women barged into the courtroom and took matters into their own hands and finished off the rapist that was tormenting them for years. But before that, we would like to give you the reasons, as to why 200: Halla Ho should be on your watchlist, this weekend or maybe just watch it directly when it drops.

Sahil Khattar

Starting it off with the villain himself, Sahil Khattar essays the role of Bali Chaudhary who is a local gangster and has been harassing, raping, molesting women, girls, and children whenever he and his men felt like it. He in reality essays the role of the man that once terrorized people and women in reality. The trailer is a testament to the fact that Sahil Khattar has worked hard to get into the role of this disturbing, maniacal, sociopath who is a murderer, extortionist, rapist, molester, and everything else that will make any woman repel him within seconds. He essays the role of the real-life monster, who had the support of the police and could never be properly arrested because everyone was on his side in his area.

Rinku Rajguru

Rinku Rajguru plays the voice of the oppressed women of the society. She is amongst those hundreds of women, who have faced issues due to Bali Chaudhary and his men. She is someone that belongs to the lower caste and if you check the history, the women oppressed by the goon in real life were women specifically from the Dalit community. It would have been great to see if “200: Halla Ho” actually showed their caste and not cover them up just as someone from the lower caste. Reason? Well, the world and the nation need to know what it still feels like living in the 21st century as Dalit women, when everywhere else there are speeches of equality but not every time it is being put into effect. By the trailer, we can see that Rinku Rajguru will be the woman leading the case on behalf of those hundreds of voiceless women that Bali Chaudhary has harassed.

Barun Sobti

Barun Sobti is back in action once again in the digital domain and this time, he will be essaying the role of a lawyer. From the looks in the trailer, Barun Sobti, essaying Umesh Joshi will be the lawyer that will be representing the oppressed women. In reality, there were not many accounts of the lawyer that represented the women. But, we are sure, if the team is basing it on the real story, they for sure have carried out thorough research and crafted his character. One thing is for sure that Barun Sobti’s character will be the one that will uplift and support Rinku Rajguru’s role in the movie. He is described in the trailer as the man, the lawyer who takes up those cases, that has been neglected and no one else is ready to take it up. He takes his integrity and knowledge to build up the case and make it a point to win it.

Amole Gupte

Amol Gupte makes a comeback to acting with this movie and anyone in his place would have taken the offer, given what the script is about. The veteran actor plays the role of Vitthal Dangle who is the judge and one in charge of looking over the case. The judge in the actual case had a very important role to play and for sure made some great statements that left quite an effect on the public. Back when the incident occurred in 2004, two cases went on. One where the rapist was put in front of the court, and one where few women were taken into custody for leading a group of women to take action into their hands and attack the accused in the court itself. But, the lawyer in the second case supported the woman and mentioned how the torments of the men led to them taking the law into their hands and doing what they did.

The four main reasons are more than enough for people to watch the film and with the power pact, impactfully carved out characters, “200: Hallo Ho” will be the movie to watch out for.
