Taj: Divided By Blood has been streaming on Zee5 for the last 10 days. The series was received negatively by both the audience and critics alike.
Regardless, there is a cute thing that Zee5 does with every series of theirs. We are talking about the views it earns from the streaming service. You may not be aware but almost every series they come up with crosses 200 or 250 million viewing minutes. In a way, they establish a new benchmark for the upcoming series to follow.
Needless to say, Taj: Divided By Blood was no exception and it was highly ambitious too. It claimed to have earned 250 million+ minutes of views but there is something interesting.
Even after such a “great” response from people, Zee5 has released the first episode of the series on YouTube. This step is beyond comprehension as to why would a platform release the title episode of their successful series for free.
So, Taj: Divided By Blood is indeed mysterious as claims don’t match with the steps that Zee5 seems to be taking. It seems that Zee5 is throwing free starters even when they don’t need them.
Regardless, Zee5 has a decent number of paid subscribers on their platform, and good content with the promotion will anyway boost views. We doubt if they will need to throw away such strategies if they wanna increase their brand image. Big series such as “Stranger Things” also reveal a few minutes of their series for free. But they usually do so before the release as a part of promotion. Rarely have we seen full episodes getting released on YouTube for free after the show’s release. There is a difference between the two steps and it needs to be understood.
