ZEE5 has just released the trailer of its poignant, thought-provoking drama, ‘Dhoop Ki Deewar‘. The ZEE5 Original show from Pakistan will premiere on the platform on 25th June.
Going by the trailer, it is apparent that Dhoop Ki Deewar is the classic anti-war drama. Two youngsters, Vishal (Ahad Raza Mir), from India, and Sara (Sajal Aly), from Pakistan, develop hatred for each other as their fathers are killed in an exchange of gunfire between India and Pakistan at the borders. However, as they interact with each other on the internet, they realise that the grief both are suffering from is the same. Their shared grief turns into empathy, and brings them closer, first in friendship and then in love.
The series shines a spotlight on the futility of war, and at the same time, conveys that grief and empathy know no boundaries.
Besides Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir, Dhoop Ki Deewar stars Samiya Mumtaz, Zaib Rehman, Savera Nadeem, Samina Ahmed, Manzar Sehbai, Raza Talish, Aly Khan and Adnan Jaffar in crucial roles. The show has been directed by Haseen Hasan, and written by popular ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’ writer, Umer Ahmed.
With the revival of its much-loved Zindagi brand, ZEE5 is bringing sensitive, thought-provoking Pakistani Originals for its viewers. Followers of ZEE5’s Zindagi will know that Zindagi comprises entirely of poignant, people-centric emotional dramas. ZEE5 had initially streamed popular Pakistani imports as part of the Zindagi repertoire.
