The first look of Yoodlee Films’ new film, ‘200’ is out! The film is a courtroom drama inspired by true events. The film is headlined by TV heartthrob and Asur-star Barun Sobti, debutant Sahil Khattar (also starring in ’83) and Rinku Rajguru (of Sairat fame) in the lead, with Saloni Batra and Amol Palekar in important roles.
Directed by Sarthak Dasgupta, the film was earlier titled ‘Justice delivered’ and the makers were using the hashtag #StandAgainstRape to promote the film.
The teaser, armed with strong, impactful background music shows a bunch of fisted hands, clutching gavels. Is this a story of people taking matters into their own hands and demanding justice? From the premise, it certainly looks interesting. It was reported earlier that Barun Sobti will be essaying the role of a lawyer. What is the ‘power of 200′, the new tagline being used for promotions now? Well, we’ll have to wait and watch!
The film is produced by Film Jungle Entertainment along with SaReGaMa and Yoodlee Films, headed by Siddharth Anand Kumar. Yoodley Films’ last release was the Jimmy Shergill starrer Collar Bomb, which failed to make a mark. This is director Dasgupta’s second collaboration with Yoodley, after the Netflix film ‘The Music Teacher’.
