ZEE5 has just dropped the trailer and release date for its upcoming series, ‘Kaun Banegi Shikharwati’. The trailer is quirky and fun, and gives us ample hint of what’s in store for viewers when the series premieres on ZEE5. The platform has also revealed the premiere date for Kaun Banegi Shikharwati. The comedy and satirical drama will arrive on ZEE5 on 7th January, 2022.
The trailer for ‘Kaun Banegi Shikharwati‘ is all shades of hilarious. Naseeruddin Shah, who plays King Mrityunjay, and the patriarch of Shikharwati, seems to be having the time of his life playing the eccentric character. His friend, guide and philosopher, or should we say his minister Mishraji, played by Raghubir Yadav, is equally idiosyncratic, if not more. And the four warring daughters, played by Lara Dutta, Soha Ali Khan, Kritika Kamra and Anya Singh, take the cake in eccentricity. Together, the bunch is as dysfunctional and mad a family as can be.
Kaun Banegi Shikharwati is a dramedy based on the life of the Royal King (Naseeruddin Shah) and his dysfunctional family. The trailer itself gives you a glimpse of all the madness one can expect in the series. The intriguing trailer takes one through the exhilarating journey of Raja Mrityunjay and his daughters Devyani, Gayatri, Kamini and Uma who all come together after years to save the Shikarwati. The series comprises madness, the crazy riot and the royal contest the four queens go through to be the ultimate winner.
Kaun Banegi Shikharwati is produced by Applause Entertainment in association with Emmay Entertainment. It is directed by Gauravv Chawla and Ananya Banerjee. It stars Naseeruddin Shah, Raghubir Yadav, Soha Ali Khan, Lara Dutta, Anya Singh, Kritika Kamra, Cyrus Sahukar and Varun Thakur in pivotal roles.
