Freshly baked cake, straight out of the oven, it kinda sounds similar to our current OTT culture, direct to digital release on Jio Cinema.
Well, directed by Sanjay Gupta, “The Miranda Brothers” unveiled their posters, and it clearly shows that it will directly premiere on JioCinema.
The poster shows the characters of Harshvardhan Rane and Meezaan Jafri in two different scenarios.
one where Harshvardhan spins a football on his fingertip, and the other where he points a gun to a guy’s head at point blank range.
This movie will be a sports drama, filled with revenge and emotional depth, this movie has the potential to bend the sports drama genre.
But, why are they promoting it like this?
Similar thing happened with another movie “Krispy Rishtey” which is also having a direct to OTT release on JioCinema.
Is it some kind of marketing trick or some very cheap mockery to JioCinema?
Promotions are needed to reach out to a broader audience, but using one platform to dump everything in it is not a good approach.
JioCinema should be selective about their movie releases, although they have improved immensely on their “Originals”, but just to fill in the gaps they are using this trick, by dumping one after another movie.
It can’t be a good strategy for JioCinema; it can lead up to some serious lack of involvement with the audience issue, and most importantly it will downgrade the quality of the content they provide, which can eventually backfire them.
But, the news is fresh from direct “The Miranda Brothers” will premiere on JioCinema Premium from 25th October. Don’t miss the chance to witness this sports drama.
