So 2024 is about to be over and there were many interesting things we saw throughout the year. For Netflix India, it was controversial of course. The platform was in some kind of controversy almost throughout the year and that’s kinda crazy.
But, we observed something very heartbreaking from Netflix India. They didn’t play at their best.
So let’s ask you something.
What is the single best thing that no platform ever does better than Netflix India?
Documentaries.
The platform is just amazing at this. Now, we saw a few stuff like the Indrani Mukerjea documentary and the SS Rajamouli one. But they were either average or very very bad.
We didn’t get any series as brilliant as “The Hunt For Veerappan” or any film as horrifying as “Curry and Cyanide.”
They were some really extraordinary documentaries that deserved a place in the overall large slate of Netflix India.
Sadly, they were nowhere to be found and that is tragic.
We do realise that the Indian mass is not very mature to handle a lot of documentaries, but the making cost of such documentaries is usually less than a usual average series.
More importantly, it is a 100% better choice than the crap like Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives.
