You must be highly aware that Netflix India is being investigated by the state for their involvement in tax, racism and even VISA violations. It is not very surprising as we have seen several such cases when people and companies are striked down by the government through such cases.
You see there is a pattern. Such investigations are raised only when the person or platform has recently evaded any legal trouble then they are slapped with such a thing. In the case of Netflix India, it is the infamous case of IC-814 when the people are literally frustrated at how Netflix India used the disclaimer only in India as if the rest of the world doesn’t deserve to know that the terrorists were not called Bhola and Shankar.
But, GOI is investigating the business practices of Netflix India which allegedly has a lot of goofy stuff.
Now, this has caused a lot of political stir. It is not just a matter of responsible entertainment streaming. It is now a political issue with all the political connotations attached to it.
Who could have thought that a streaming platform would emerge as the epicentre of political fire in India?
But it has.
Netflix thought its smart to dodge Bharat Sarkar by putting a disclaimer ONLY in Bharat wrt its Terr0ri$t Sympathiser IC-814 webseries.

SCRUTINY OF @NetflixIndia OVER ALLEGED VISA VIOLATIONS, RACIAL DISCRIMINATION, TAX EVASION HAS STARTED!
Govt… pic.twitter.com/VzlziVDIGk
But I still think the government should not have accepted the disclaimer solution. The 2 issues are different. For Tax violations they will get a penalty and getaway with it. They might as well challenge it in courts. By that time The propaganda with IC-814 will reach many.
