Analysis
Let’s begin with Stephen, which is a Tamil original film about a serial killer’s psychology. It is a good film, but it could have been far better. Regardless, it received a decent response from the audience, and a marketing push would have done wonders for the film.
Then comes Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders, which is a very well-made film. The fanbase created from the first movie really helped, and the film received a mammoth response from the audience. Overall, it was a successful venture by the platform.
Coming to the series, we got Single Papa. Led by Kunal Khemu, the series was average at its best. It also did not receive the best appreciation from the audiences, and thus, it was not quite what Netflix wanted it to be.
The Great Indian Kapil Show is just a typical series where Kapil Sharma is doing his typical things. There is absolutely nothing new or fun about this.
Then comes the chance of Licensed films, and we have a lot of licensed films coming on Netflix India in the month December 2025.
The four titles that truly stood out were: The Girlfriend, Eko, Kaantha and Ullozhukku. The first one, led by Rashmika Mandhana, received both views and a good response. Eko and Ullozhukku were really well-made films that did well again.
The face value of Dulquer Salmaan really helped Kaantha and it is a good film to say the least. Again, a nice grab by the platform.
The rest of the films did not really stand out, but they still managed decent views, especially Andhra King Taluka.
If you see, there was no Hindi film that came to Netflix India last month, and it is quite strange. However, Dangal started streaming and it even dominated the International view charts so that’s there.
Netflix India deserves a solid 6/10 for how it entertained us in the month of December 2025.
