The long month of January is now over for 2025. The beginning of the year has been fantastic for the platform, which gave us some originals and a super blockbuster-licensed film.
But before we go into the analysis part, let’s acknowledge the list of prominent titles that we got to enjoy from the platform.

Analysis
Let’s talk about Black Warrant first. The series was released on the 10th of January and it received widespread acclaim. It is an absolutely amazing series that tells us the harrowing tale of Tihar Jail from a very objective perspective. The performances, overall screenplay and the power dynamics have been shown with honesty.
Vikramaditya Motwane is known for his brilliant storytelling and Black Warrant is no exception. There couldn’t have been a better start to this year than Black Warrant.
Then comes The Roshans. It was less documentary and more PR. The documentary tried to sum up the careers of the 4 Roshans in one episode each. It very conveniently skipped the controversial aspects of the family and focussed only on the good part. While it is not a bad thing per se, as an audience we got nothing apart from industry people singing praises of the Roshan family.
Coming to the films, there were no original films sadly. However, Netflix India did wonders in licensed films. Rifle Club made a lot of noise on the platform. The movie became a mad ride for film enthusiasts as it is a wild wild story with a lot of fun.
Then comes the real wildfire called Pushpa 2: The Reloaded. There are several problems. First is the super long duration of 3 Hours 44 Minutes. The film doesn’t hit the middle ground and that’s why people are giving extreme reactions. They either love the film or hate it.
The data of official views will be out tomorrow but we are sure that it will be astonishing.
With very very few titles, Netflix India delivered significantly good in the month of January. Thus it deserves 7 out of 10.
