The month of July is over, and we are slowly moving towards the end of 2025. But we are constantly committed towards entertainment. So what about that?
We have analysed the performance of Netflix India in July 202,5, and we feel that the platform performed very badly. But before we begin with the analysis, let’s have a look at the important OTT releases of the month.
Original Film(s)
Aap Jaisa Koi
Original Series
Mandala Murders
Licensed Films
Thug Life, Detective Ujjawalan, 8 Vasantalu, Thammudu
Analysis
The month of July was a complete disaster on the platform. But why are we saying this?
The original film was Aap Jaisa Koi. It is nothing but a silent version of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The movie sparked some debate online but failed to remain steady like Mrs and even the views were not the best. It did not remain a romance and certainly failed as a social drama and commercial film.
The original film was produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment. The series of last month was produced by Yash Raj Films. Two of the largest production companies coming together to make originals was certainly a power move but both of them utterly failed. Mandala Murders was very badly executed and the series had a very bad writing. It failed to keep tha audiences engaged till the end.
The licensed films were another kind of mess. All of them are flops that have no soul. They failed to impress audiences even on Netflix.
Normally, we would always say that “one title saved the month.” July 2025 was so bad on Netflix India that we can’t pick one title and announce it the winner.
We don’t wish to give any score to the platform and it is the first time ever when we have not given any score out of 10 to the platform.
