We were looking at the winners of Filmfare OTT Awards 2024. Well, it was almost like an Award Show by Netflix India where all Awards are going to one platform only.
Enough for the diversity, other platforms have won an astounding 4 awards.
Let’s get a few things straight. We are not against Netflix India in any manner. The platform has done fantastic in terms of producing good watchable content.
If we talk about films, then we must agree that no platform comes close to Netflix India. In fact, it is the only platform which is serious in terms of producing good films. All the other OTT platforms focus solely on series and very very rarely on films.
Winning a massive 28 Awards looks very fishy because it makes us feel that only Netflix India is making good quality content, which can’t be farther from reality.
Prime Video and SonyLIV are totally upto the mark when it comes to making good series. Even Disney+Hotstar sometimes surprises us.
However, the most dreadful thing about this is the fact that many people won’t even believe so many wins by Netflix India. Anyway, we are happy that Amar Singh Chamkila and Heeramandi won Awards because they were indeed the best in multiple aspects.
