October is now over, and the last three months are here. It simply means that we will see bigger releases as holiday season has officially begun. In the month of October we saw very bleak performance by Prime Video. They hardly brought us anything good. But before we begin with the analysis, let’s have a look at the titles we got. Mind you there are a lot of releases so we are not listing unimportant small releases.
Licensed Movies
Madharaasi, Coolie, Big Ben, Daksha, Param Sundari, Arjun Chakravarthy: Journey of an Unsung Champion, Zebra, Nishaanchi, Darling, Baaghi 4
Analysis
Normally, we cover original films, original series and then come to licensed films. Where are they?
Well, they aren’t. Amazon Prime Video failed to provide us with any original content last month. This is absolutely concerning and bad. There was absolutely no series or film from the platform.
Even among the licensed film releases, no film stands out other than Coolie. Due to the madness of Rajinikanth, the film received attention, but that is it.
All the other releases were absolutely not worth it. The likes of Baaghi 4 were vehemently trolled too.
This is a very concerning situation for Prime Video because subscribers pay a steady money to keep themselves entertained and when an entire month passes without anything then it is valid to feel cheated.
We would score the platform 1/10 for its complete lack of effort.
