A few months ago, Prime Video India started showing ads during movies and shows. Many people were unhappy with this change. It used to be a smooth and relaxing experience, but now feels interrupted and annoying. Viewers often see ads in the middle of important scenes, which breaks the mood and makes it harder to enjoy the story.
The problem does not stop there. When users open the app, they are often greeted with a pop up that pushes them to buy a more expensive ad free plan. This message keeps coming back, even after closing it once. For many people, this feels less like a choice and more like pressure.
Because of this, some users say the app feels slower and more frustrating to use. They do not feel valued as paying customers anymore. Instead of enjoying their favorite films or series, they feel distracted and annoyed.
Earlier, Prime Video was known for giving a clean and peaceful viewing experience. Now, that image has changed. People who once trusted the platform are starting to lose interest.
Many viewers are now thinking twice before renewing their subscription. They feel that if they are already paying for a service, they should not have to deal with constant ads and repeated prompts to spend more money.
For Prime Video India, this change may bring more short term profit. But in the long run, it could cost them loyal users who simply want to watch their shows in peace.
@PrimeVideoIN stop showing this pathetic pop-up every damn time i open the App. If i want to go add-free, i will do it myself. I don't want you to flash this pop-up on my face every fucking time.#Primevideo @AmazonHelp pic.twitter.com/sfbzuLEPG5
