Let’s be honest. Most of us forget half a season the moment the finale ends. Months later, we open Prime Video all excited for the new season, only to sit there thinking Wait, who died, who lied and why is this guy suddenly important? Amazon seems to know our struggle, and now it wants to save us from the catch up loop. And that’s why we end up rewatching what we already have watched.
Prime Video is testing a new feature called Video Recaps. Think of it as that friend who remembers everything and tells you the important bits without spoiling the fun. Instead of browsing old episodes or reading long summaries online, you get a short, snappy video that reminds you of the big twists, the emotional moments, and the characters who suddenly changed everything. It comes with voice narration, music, and short clips, so it feels more like a mini highlight reel than a dull recap.
For now, only a small group of viewers in the United States can try it out. It works mostly on home streaming devices like the Fire TV Stick, and only for a few shows such as Fallout, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, and Upload. If you are one of the lucky testers, you will see a Recap button right on the show page. Tap it, sit back, and in a few minutes, you are ready for the new season like you never missed a thing.
No update yet for India or other countries, but if people love it, chances are this little memory helper will make its way to everyone soon. Until then, we wait. And we try to remember who betrayed whom.
