Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 is now streaming on Netflix. Part 1 of the second season turned out to be stronger than Season 1, despite being a bit overstuffed and chaotic. According to early reactions, however, Part 2 might just be the best chapter of the series so far.
The first four episodes of Season 2 were a wild ride but somewhat messy, weighed down by too many subplots. Those threads are neatly tied up in Part 2, offering surprising and satisfying conclusions. Jenna Ortega continues to shine as Wednesday, but the show is truly stolen by Owen Painter, who delivers a standout performance as Slurp, a resurrected zombie.
One of the biggest highlights of Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 is the protagonist’s relationships with both family and friends, with her bond with Enid proving to be the most compelling—and often the most moving. Viewers have also praised this season’s unexpected twists, darker tone, and heightened chaos.
While the finale of Part 2 has been widely praised, some viewers felt it was overloaded. On the brighter side, the return of Gwendoline Christie as Larissa Weems has been warmly received. This time, she appears as Wednesday’s new spirit guide after the loss of her psychic connection with Goody Addams.
Adding to the excitement is Lady Gaga’s cameo appearance, another big talking point among fans.
Although some critics have pointed out pacing issues and a lack of character development in the latest chapter.
Part 2 picks up right after the chaotic events of Part 1, where Tyler escapes from the secure facility meant to contain him. Wednesday also helps a mysterious woman escape, later revealed to be Tyler’s Hyde mother.
The new episodes follow Wednesday as she hatches a plan to control Tyler and teams up with the disbanded Nightshades to confront his threat. Along the way, her friendship with Enid faces its biggest test yet.
