SonyLIV’s upcoming drama ‘Zindaginama’ is to premiere on the 10th of October and the trailer has been released yesterday. There has been almost zero promotions for the project and even if it is quite an interesting story, it will probably go unnoticed by people.
‘Zindaginama’ is an anthology of six stories named ‘Swagatam’, ‘Bhanwar’, ‘Caged’, ‘Purple Duniya’, ‘One One’ and ‘The Daily Puppet Show’. These stories are of people who are suffering from different kinds of mental illnesses and are not able to continue their normal lifestyle. An anthology with such inspiring and ‘real’ stories could have been a milestone in the history of Indian OTT, but SonyLIV is letting the chance go.
There is no noise about the show anywhere on social media. It is not some indie project by complete newcomers too. It has known faces like Shreyas Talpade, Shweta Basu Prasad, Prajakta Koli, Sumeet Vyas etc.
There are only six comments under the trailer on YouTube. This is really disappointing that ‘Zindaginama’ is not getting the hype it deserves and the blame goes to the platform only. This project could really have a large impact and make people more aware about the suffering of people with mental illnesses. Probably it will take an Aamir Khan only to make a movie about some mental illness and promote it like every other movie is promoted.
