Last week, we had Blockbuster options on OTT. Primarily, they were theatrical releases: Saiyaara and Coolie. This week, we have another option. Thankfully, they are OTT originals. Take the case of “The Ba****ds of Bollywood.” We all know what it means, but let’s call it The Bads of Bollywood. Even apart from that, Gen V Season 2, Elio and Sinners are very big options.
Well, let’s see what the slate looks like.
The Bads of Bollywood
“The Bads of Bollywood” is a sure-shot blockbuster and we know it. There is a very high buzz and it looks like something that will just explode. The drama series that explores the glitter and grit of the Hindi film industry through the story of Aasmaan Singh, a young actor chasing stardom. Alongside his family and manager, he faces ambition, rivalry, and the dark side of fame. The series will be released on Netflix on 18 September 2025.
Gen V Season 2
“Gen V Season 2” returns to Prime Video, following the events of The Boys Season 4. It premieres on 17 September 2025 with its first three episodes, then rolls out weekly until the season ends on 22 October 2025.
The Trial Season 2
Even after the mediocre reception to the first season, “The Trial Season 2” continues the journey of lawyer Noyonika Sengupta as she juggles personal and professional battles after her husband’s scandals. Betrayals, politics, and courtroom drama collide as she fights for justice and survival. The season will be available on JioHotstar from 19 September 2025.
28 Years Later
“28 Years Later” is a post-apocalyptic horror film directed by Danny Boyle and written by Alex Garland. It hit theatres on 20 June 2025 and will begin streaming on Netflix from 20 September 2025.
Black Rabbit
“Black Rabbit” is an American crime-thriller limited series created by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman, starring Jude Law and Jason Bateman. All episodes will be available on Netflix starting 18 September 2025.
Police Police
“Police Police” is a Tamil drama series starring Mirchi Senthil and Jayaseelan. The story focuses on a police officer, a thief, and a lawyer whose lives get entangled through misunderstandings and hidden connections. It begins streaming on JioHotstar on 19 September 2025.
House Mates
“House Mates” is a Tamil horror-fantasy comedy directed by T. Raja Vel, starring Darshan, Aarsha Chandini Baiju, Kaali Venkat, and Vinodhini. It released in theatres on 1 August 2025 and will be streaming on ZEE5 from 19 September 2025.
The Treasure Hunters
“The Treasure Hunters” is a game-reality show hosted by Manisha Rani and ScoutOP. It follows ten social media creators as they race through Mumbai solving riddles and overcoming challenges to uncover a hidden treasure. The show premieres on JioHotstar on 15 September 2025.
Elio
“Elio” is a Pixar animated film about an eleven-year-old boy who is mistaken for Earth’s leader and taken to an intergalactic organisation. On his cosmic journey, he forges friendships with aliens while discovering his true identity. After its theatrical run in June 2025, it begins streaming on JioHotstar from 17 September 2025.
Sinners
“Sinners” is a thriller drama about twin brothers who return to their hometown seeking a fresh start, only to encounter a sinister force waiting for them. The series delves into family, survival, and dark secrets. It premieres on JioHotstar on 18 September 2025.
