Another week, another pile of shows and films trying to grab our attention. This time The Family Man Season 3 has come but it is sort of disappointing. Some are worth your time, others are best left to float in the endless OTT ocean. Here’s the straight truth, from someone who has wasted enough hours on “maybe it will get better after episode 4.” No, it won’t. So let’s save you from the pain.
The Family Man Season 3
Streaming on: Amazon Prime Video
Srikant Tiwari is back with his middle-class crisis and national-security headaches, and thank god he is. Manoj Bajpayee still carries this franchise on his soldiers but the writing disappointed us this time. There are too many sub plots and they are difficult to make sense of. You can read our review for more details.
Verdict: Watch it
Homebound
Streaming on: Netflix
Neeraj Ghaywan doesn’t make films to entertain you, he makes them to crawl under your skin. This story of two friends caught between ambition and a cruel system is emotional without crying for attention. Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa are excellent, and Janhvi Kapoor finally fits a role.
Verdict: Watch it
Dining With The Kapoors
Streaming on: Netflix.
It’s casual, warm, and surprisingly intimate. You’re basically eavesdropping on the most famous film family as they eat, laugh and poke fun at each other. No drama, no fake “reality show” tension, but Alia Bhatt is missing from the picture.
Verdict: Watch it
Bison
Streaming on: Netflix
A kabaddi player fighting his way out of a rigid system should feel thrilling, but the film keeps tripping on its own seriousness. With so much potential, it somehow becomes more exhausting than exciting. Ambition doesn’t always equal impact.
Verdict: Skip it
The Bengal Files
Streaming on: ZEE5
This one isn’t shy about its politics. It dives straight into history, pokes at raw wounds, and leaves the subtlety at the door. You will have opinions, arguments, and maybe even frustration, but at least this is a kind of film that needs to be made.
Verdict: Watch it
Train Dreams
Streaming on: Netflix
A slow burn, yes, but never dull. Joel Edgerton plays a man swallowed by a changing world, and the film treats silence with more respect than most writers treat dialogue. You need patience for this one, but it rewards you beautifully.
Verdict: Watch it
Nadu Center
Streaming on: JioHotstar
It tries very hard to be inspiring. The problem is that you can see the effort sweating through every scene. Sports stories need heart, not predictable speeches. You already know every turn before it takes one.
Verdict: Skip it
The Death of Bunny Munro
Streaming on: JioHotstar
Matt Smith dives into chaos like he was born for it. This twisted road-trip with a broken salesman is part tragedy, part dark comedy and part “why am I feeling sorry for this man.” It’s messy in the best way.
Verdict: Watch it
Co-Ed
Streaming on: MX Player
Teen drama can be fun when the writing has spark. This one doesn’t. It’s the usual mix of crushes, drama, friendships and school politics, and somehow still feels like homework.
Verdict: Skip it
Ziddi Ishq
Streaming on: JioHotstar
An obsessive love story that mistakes intensity for storytelling. It keeps pushing shock value, but never digs deep into why the obsession matters. Loud, restless and not the good kind. This will make you go crazy.
Verdict: Skip it
