Misrah Fatima Nizami, born 2001, is an aspiring indie filmmaker and illustrator based in Karachi, Pakistan. They are a film major, currently studying Communication Design: Media at Indus Valley School Of Art and Architecture. Their work mostly revolves around exploring unseen memories and the passage of time. They are inspired by the works of Wong Kar Wai and Abbas Kiarostami, therefore you can see characterizations of humanistic approaches and non linear narratives, hazy saturated colors and a cinematic point of view in their work.
Took part in Tehqeeq, an exhibition of artworks, chiefly photographs, by the students of the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, which was under way at the Full Circle Gallery, was the latest testimony to the observation. A creative idea led by the desire and passion to probe the unknown of Karachi. An exhibition showcasing the creative interpretations of what a few students discovered in their quest.

Has directed, written and edited numerous films, including two short narrative films called, “Neelay Laddu” and “Fasl-e-Gul”, which became an Official Selection for the Lift-Off Global Network Sessions 2023. They have also worked on a Fashion Film called “Trippystan” , Gentle Robot’s music video called, “Slow”, a short silent film called, “All Things, All Over, At Once” and more films.
