Mu Lakhi is an 18-year-old filmmaker and screenwriter currently based in the UK. They have been pursuing filmmaking since the age of 12, at first with short, unscripted skits and music videos which they created with friends and family. In 2016, between 14 and 16 they began uploading humorous commentaries and film analyses on their YouTube channel MostLikelyMu. One of these videos, an analysis of Lynne Ramsey's 2009 film 'We Need to Talk About Kevin' attracted over 50,000 viewers, and has been used for study in schools in Australia and New Zealand. They shot their first two ‘official’ short films, The Shepherd and It Happened in Rural England (the latter of which they also starred in) in 2018 and are currently studying at the Northern Film School in Leeds.
