Pantelis Kassotis, better known as Porkotyler from Prime Video’s The Porkotyler Show (2023), is a Greek/Canadian animator, game developer and media executive. Born in Athens, Greece he graduated from Lyceum of Agios Stefanos and then attended the University of the Aegean in the island of Chios to study business administration. Back in his high school years he dreamed of becoming a professional painter and took afternoon classes to prepare for the Athens School of Fine Arts but eventually went to business school for a more secure future. As a way to express his creative side he started writing and eventually created his first comic book “Eric & Erica” which he presented at the Comicdom Con Athens of 2014.
Eric & Erica helped him pursue a writing career first as a contributor at CollegeHumor and Dorkly back when they accepted submissions from their readers and eventually BuzzFeed and Funny Or Die. At Funny Or Die he challenged himself by switching to a video format and later created the sketch comedy show Just Funny (2017), his first animation project. In 2021 his studio Kassotis Productions joined the Hellenic Film Commission and became one of the most prominent media brands in Greece. Kassotis owns a video streaming service “Kassotis+” which features cartoons and video games, a game development studio “Tethorax Softworks”, a music record label “Blonde Bear Records”, a book publishing house “Grouse Publishing”, and the digital theme park “Porkoland” which is named after his internet persona and features attractions from his studio’s multiple franchises.
