Sajad Yemeni (was born in 2001 in Mashhad) is a young Iranian writer and director. He immigrated to Tehran in 2020 after graduating from the Fine Arts Conservatory with a diploma degree in cinema. He made his first film entitled “Sea” in 2019 in the south of Iran and at the same time studied filmmaking at the bachelor level of theater directing at the Azad University (Central Tehran Branch). He continued filmmaking with a focus on experimental cinema and completed a semi-long documentary in 2021 entitled “Filmmaker”. With his latest film “Apple”, he participated in the education section (experimental cinema) of the Tehran Short Film Festival. He is also a main member of the [ZEDarte] “Art Group” and works in the field of film and cinema studies.
