With regional films getting more recognition in recent times, the regional film industry has been producing some phenomenal concepts that are highly liked throughout the country.
With such massive hype and response countrywide, it will be disappointing to see these films not getting released throughout the country in several languages. One example of such a mess is Dulquer Salmaan’s Lucky Baskhar.
The film’s trailer received a good response in the North Indian market but the film wasn’t released in Hindi affecting its overall collection. It seems that Kavin’s latest dark comedy Bloody Beggar is also going with the same marketing strategy.
The film has been released in Telugu and Kannada language but there hasn’t been any Hindi dub for the majority of North Indian audiences. While the film has been receiving mixed reviews, it would have had a better impact if it had been released in the North Indian market as well.
The only thing that can save the film and have a better response countrywide is its OTT release. It remains to be seen if the film’s digital release will have a Hindi dub or not.
While the film has a great plot and concept, many critics have rated it as an average film given the potential and how it was nearly achieved. Only time will tell how the film will perform in the North Indian market ahead of its OTT release.
