The first episode for an introduction for the upcoming Tamil movie ‘Amaran’ has been officially released on the crew’s YouTube channel. What does ‘Amaran’ really decipher? Why is it relevant in today’s context?
The movie will tell the story of Late Major Mukund Varadarajan, an Indian Army officer in the Rajput Regiment of the 2006 batch. The storyline will be compelling a biographical picture along with a character-driven narrative.
The introduction launch started with a clip about the brief story of the officer and his events along with how his personal life played a huge role in being an inspiration for the citizens.
Writer and Director Rajkumar Periyasamy, producer Kamal Hassan, Varadarajan’s wife Indhu Rebbeca Vargheese, and actors Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi joined the event and addressed the stage.
“I can never claim that the story was chosen by me. It luckily came to me and I had the privilege to project the effort to our people.” Kamal Hassan said, who will be bankrolling the flick for Raaj Kamal Films International.
The actor-producer also added based on an inspiration of what the Late General Sam Manekshaw once said to Ex-Prime minister Indira Gandhi, “Our people should speak and understand the goodwill of the soldiers who sacrificed and are ready to do so for the nation. Also, we should be ready to fight for them.”
The writer-director Rajkumar Periyasamy spoke more of the crux of the story to which he said, “My greatest source of inspiration to tell the story is Indhu Mam (Major’s wife). The movie will speak about a profound love story of apart the war events.”
Actor Sivakarthiyean, who will be emulating the role of the late Major made his gratitude and said, “It is my honour that I am playing such an iconic figure and I am luckier that the story came to me.” He also added, “Major Mukund Sir is such an inspiration and he is and will continue to be the real ‘Superhero’.”
Hopefully, Indhu Rebecca Vargheese and actor Sai Pallavi will be speaking their ideas and opinions in the upcoming episodes.
