Jayam Ravi’s 34th film in lead role is all set to begin filming soon. With a working title of #JR34, the announcement for the film was made today with a first look poster.
#JR34 will be helmed by young filmmaker Ganesh K. Babu who made his directorial debut last year with acclaimed coming-of-age romantic comedy drama ‘Dada’.
The poster unveiled for #JR34 features a headshot of Jayam Ravi and has a division in between that tries to separate what is probably the past and the present or the good and bad side of his character. On the left side his character has longer hair and a beard, also the background appears to be a railway yard and has a dusty industrial look. Meanwhile the right side is all white and Jayam Ravi’s sports a clean shaved and short hair look in it.
#JR34 is a Harris Jayaraj musical and is the third collaboration between Jayam Ravi and Screen Scene Media Private Limited, the production house behind this upcoming film. Details about rest of the cast, crew and plot line have been kept under wraps for now.
Jayam Ravi’s other upcoming projects include M. Rajesh’s ‘Brother’, Arjunan Jr’s directorial debut ‘Genie’ and Kiruthiga Udhyanidhi’s ‘Kadhalikka Neramillai’. His past few works barring Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ film series received pretty underwhelming response from the audience and thus the success of his upcoming ventures becomes more so important.
