Kanguva, a big budget film that will star big names like Suriya, Bobby Deol, Jagapathi Babu, Disha Patani etc. was supposed to be released on October 10th this year. But currently the film has been postponed to a date which will be announced tomorrow. A small video clip was shared in the various social media handles that showcased that the release date of the film will be released tomorrow morning at 11 o’ clock.
The film is a grand saga that takes place in a period of 500 years. The film covers multiple time periods and follows the story of a hero who has to fulfil his mission that was left unfinished. The film is a big budget film that involves many big names and hence the makers cannot afford any sort of competition that will either slow the movie down or reduce its earning potential. Hence the movie was postponed in order to avoid clashing with Vettaiyan which will be released on the same day of 10th October.
Vettaiyan, starring Rajinikanth, will also star Amitabh Bacchan, Fahadh Faasil and Rana Daggubatti. These big names are sure to grab a big chunk of audience and indeed Kanguva would have suffered due to it. Rajinikanth especially is a big name in all of India and people watch his movies just because of his involvement in them. With this strategy of postponement, the film has on one hand reduced its competition and also created a buzz again prior to release through this dramatic way of announcing its release date.
The film, now won’t be releasing in the month of October for the least. Most probably, it is expected to be released in the later parts of November which will be a safe place for it. It can also go on to early days of December. Certainly, the movie will gain a lot by postponing the release date.
