The Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), also known as the ‘Lokiverse’, is an Indian media franchise and shared universe of Tamil-language action thriller films created by Lokesh Kanagaraj who is the most celebrated writer, producer, and director. It is currently the highest-grossing Tamil film franchise.
As its premise suggests, the universe follows an elaborate conflict between law enforcement officers and vigilantes in South India who are at war against dangerous drug cartels led by powerful crime lords. How is it becoming noteworthy?
As per the director Lokesh’s latest confession, the sequel to Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo will not be conceived due to the actor’s retirement and his further plans. The movie had a compulsive reference to movies like Kaithi and Vikram to which most of the audience found it tiresome. But how is it becoming relevant?
Despite being attached to the universe, the character arc of Parthibhan in ‘Leo’ had great scope and more stories of such a character were yet to be discussed.
