Vettaiyan, the new Rajinikanth film that will be released on 10th of October opened its advance ticket bookings on Sunday. On Sunday alone, the film saw a huge response by the people. The film will mark the union of Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bacchan on the silver screen after 33 years. The two actors hadn’t been together for a film since the release of Hum.
Apart from the two megastars, the film sees a great cast that includes Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubatti, Dushara Vijayan and Manju Warrier. The film holds a big value considering its cast itself. Especially the reunion of both the megastars is sure to break several records and lure in audiences towards the film.
On Sunday, the film’s advanced bookings opened worldwide. The film recorded a sales of 5.5 crores in the state of Tamil Nadu alone. In Karnataka the numbers go up to 50 lacs for the first day. The film also has been greatly received by the international audience. It managed to make $5 million in the US alone. The film might come close to the number of 100 crores in revenue before the release through pre-bookings itself.
Analysts have stated that the film will gross about ₹125 crores on the first day of its release. And by the end of the first weekend, the film would have amassed a humongous ₹250 crores. This will make the film one of the biggest films of the year. The numbers are just a speculation and the numbers can go even higher considering the fact that two megastars of both North and South star in the film. With the sales of Hindi dub being clear, even more accurate speculations can be made.
