As ‘Viduthalai Part 2’ completes 25 successful days in theatres, makers RS Infotainment has announced the launch of two new and exciting projects to commemorate the occasion.
The first of these will be directed by acclaimed and National Award winning filmmaker Verrimaran who is riding high on the success of ‘Viduthalai’. He will be collaborating with his long time partner Dhanush for this 9th directorial venture of his.
For the second project RS Infotainment is once again collaborating with ‘Viduthalai’ star Soori for a film directing by Mathimaran Pugazhenthi who has been part of the ‘Viduthalai’ series as well.
‘Viduthalai’ is a two part film series and is an adaptation of the short story Thunaivan by Jeyamohan. A period political crime thriller set in 1987, the film follows a police constable, who is recruited to arrest the leader of a separatist group.
While the first part was a great critical and commercial success, the second part has received criticism for poor dubbing despite otherwise earning highly positive reviews.
