The Tamil series ‘Aindham Vedham’ will be premiering on the 25th of October. It is a Zee5 original and an anticipated extension of the regional slate of the platform.
But will the show be able to make it big in the northern regions? Well, there are good chances. The subject itself is very intriguing and the story starts from the North as well. ‘Aindham Vedham’ tells the story of a girl named Anu who goes to Varanasi to perform the last rites of her mother and meets a mysterious man there. The man gives her a relic and says that this is the key to the lost fifth Veda and she is to deliver it to a priest in Tamilnadu. Evil forces get behind her and she has to struggle to save herself and the relic.
There are Tamil movies like ‘Kalavu’, ‘Igloo’, ‘Mama Kiki’, and original shows like ‘Ayali’, ‘Koose Munisamy Veerappan’, ‘What’s Up Velakkari’, ‘Kallachirippu’ etc that have contributed in extending the Tamil slate over the years but Zee5 is stronger in Hindi and does quite well in other languages like Bengali. But it does not have that much credibility in Southern content like Prime Video or Hotstar does. It is surely changing, and the Malayalam show ‘Manorathangal’ got huge appreciation from people.
‘Aindham Vedham’ might be a very important addition in the list of Tamil originals for Zee5 and turn out to be a big success for Hindi audiences too.
