Indian may have been a nice film according to the zeitgeist of 1996. But let’s not forget that 28 years have passed and the cinemagoers of 1996 are now grown-up kids. The kids of this era are not really interested in those kinds of films and perhaps that’s the reason Indian 2 will be counted among one of the greatest disasters of the entire Tamil film industry.
Anyway, it was pretty clear that Indian 3 would soon follow after Indian 2 and the makers left no stone unturned in creating hype around the film.
So what’s the news?
There are some strong rumours that Indian 3 is targeting a direct to digital release on Netflix India in January 2025. Keep in mind, it is only a rumour and nothing sure can be said about it.
But, things already look bleak for Indian 3 as well as Netflix India. People have started trolling the movie and perhaps the best-case scenario would be to not even release Indian 3. It may remain hidden but if Netflix India decides to buy the film in a direct to digital deal then it would become a centre of insane trolling. Let’s see what the official announcements say later on.
