Some films may or may not be good but if they dare to do something different then they must be acknowledged for that. Take the case of Vijay. He is one of the most successful stars in the history of Indian cinema. But, he never really experiments. He does the same kind of film all the time.
On the other hand, the industry is trying to do something different, and we must appreciate it, even though it is an average film.
Kadaisi Ulaga Por is a sci-fi action movie directed by Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi. The story is set in the future where the world is in chaos. A new group called the Republic, led by China, tries to take control of many countries, including India, by putting pressure on them. This causes a big crisis, with rising fuel prices and unrest in India.
The main character, Thamizharasan (played by Aadhi), is an orphan with a good heart. He helps Keerthana, the daughter of a sick chief minister, as she unwillingly steps into politics. Thamizh guides her in making smart decisions, and she becomes popular for her reforms. But Natarajan, a powerful man who controls politics, is unhappy and tries to stop her by framing Thamizh as a terrorist during a riot.
Things get worse when the Republic’s army invades Tamil Nadu. Thamizh, along with Natarajan and a few others, fights back against the invaders. They come up with clever plans to stop the Republic’s forces, including sneaking into enemy camps and using tricks to defeat them.
And the film then emerges as a political drama after being promised as a science fiction. That is its biggest problem. The film was born to be something else but ended up becoming something else. So, it doesn’t have any coherence and goes all over the place.
But, if you are still interested in watching the movie then it is coming to Prime Video on the 25th. Enjoy.
