Netflix has revealed its charts. You see, Netflix India has done very very well in grabbing big licensed movies on their platform. Be it Lucky Bhaskar, Amaran, Jigra or Vicky Vidya Ka Wo Wala Video. All of them are trending high on Netflix globally. Not to forget, we have our very own Netflix India original called “Sikandar Ka Muqaddar” which is doing well despite very bad reviews.
So, good job Netflix India.
But, it also comes with a downside. Even those film which can do well don’t end up doing really well because there is just too much competition of good films.
A similar thing happened last weekend.
It was between Lucky Bhaskar and Amaran.
Both movies are big time hits and so much so that Amaran earned more than Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again.
But, the wave of Lucky Bhaskar is such that Amaran couldn’t surpass it. Yes, we are counting only weekend views of Amaran vs the full week of Lucky Bhaskar, it is still very very appreciable number but yet again, debutant films are usually a very strong force on Netflix. Because people swarm to watch it in large numbers.
We are assuming that Amaran will turn out to be a big hit in next week’s number. Let’s see how true is that.
