During its fourth weekend alone, Karuppu demonstrated a phenomenal box office hold. It raked in an impressive INR 4.65 crore gross within India (amounting to INR 4.05 crore net).
This late-stage surge was fueled by a massive 63% (approx.) jump in ticket sales on Saturday, followed by an impressive 53% theater occupancy rate on Sunday. This remarkable performance officially cements the film’s position among the all-time top 10 highest-grossing movies in Tamil Nadu history.
Moreover, Karuppu’s ongoing endurance at the box office rarely happens. In its fourth weekend, it actually performed better than Thalapathy Vijay’s recent blockbusters, Leo and The Greatest of All Time (The GOAT).
By crossing these massive milestones, Karuppu has officially entered the elite Rs 300 Crore Club globally. It is only the 10th film in Tamil cinema history to ever achieve this feat. Moreover, it is the highest-grossing Tamil movie this year.
