Devara Part-1, which boasts a pan-India cast of NTR Jr., Saif Ali Khan and Jahnvi Kapoor is ready for its worldwide release after two days on September 27th. The film is expected to be the next big film to be released in India after the dearth of blockbusters post the release of Stree 2. The advance ticket bookings for the film have already started and the numbers amaze us.
The film’s pre-bookings were made available earlier only in overseas countries. The film had crossed a million-dollar mark in terms of pre-bookings in the US alone. This shows the global popularity and eagerness the movie has for itself. A couple of days ago, the advanced bookings for the film started in India. Though, it was only for the shows in regional languages and not in Hindi. Still the film saw a great number of pre-bookings. The gross sales of tickets in India have already accounted for about 28 crores. Out of these, 90% of the sales come from the original Telugu language.
The advanced sales for Hindi shows is yet to be announced. The film was primarily shot in Telugu and Hindi which gives Hindi an edge over other dubs. Also, Hindi accounts for maximum viewership in India and past all big films from South have recorded almost the equivalent amount of collection in Hindi as in the original language. Hence we can assume the amount collected through pre-bookings will almost double when the sales of Hindi shows will begin.
The movie, as of Tuesday, has amassed a collection of almost 50 crores through the advance ticket sales. It is anticipated the movie will see an opening day collection of 100 crores or more. The film will turn out to be one of the biggest films of the year and will compete with blockbusters like Kalki 2898 AD and Stree 2.
