It’s true that women are not anywhere, be it home, workplace or streets .
The National Award win Jani Master, whose real name is Shaik Jani Basha, is allegedly accused of sexually harassing a woman who worked with him.
The woman who worked with him stated that she was sexually assaulted by him on a business trip to Mumbai in 2020 and since then, the harassment didn’t stop, after police investigated the matter, it came out that she was a minor .
Therefore, a relevant section of the POCSO Act, 2012, was added.
Jani Master who won the award for best choreographer for the Year 2022, for the film “Thiruchitrambalam”, is now being suspended.
Although, Jani was given interim bail this week so that he could attend the National Film Awards ceremony.
The woman also accused him of harassing her at multiple events, places and even her home and threatened her that if she leaked it she would be in big trouble.
Now, the allegations are not proven right till now, this could be a major step in demolishing an existing choreographer’s identity, but on the other hand if it was proven right then, it was a big thing for the award system to stop it, which secured the integrity of the award.
Now, it’s time to see in whose basket the ball goes, but with all fairness a potential criminal should not be around any woman.
