Hyderabad, Telangana – [11-08-2025] – Teach for Change, founded by actor-philanthropist Lakshmi Manchu, in collaboration with the Veni Rao Foundation led by philanthropist Ratna Reddy, continues to transform the educational landscape and improve health outcomes for adolescent girls in government schools across Telangana.
Building on the success of 45 Smart Classrooms set up in government schools in Telangana, the Veni Rao Foundation is now adding two more Smart Classrooms in Janwada. These advanced digital learning spaces aim to make education interactive, engaging, and accessible, empowering teachers and students alike.
In addition to educational interventions, the partnership is driving menstrual health awareness and dignity through the FlowForward initiative, which provides reusable sanitary pads to adolescent girls. Having already reached 6,000 girls in Telangana, the program will now extend to an additional 1,000 girls, helping reduce school absenteeism, promote eco-friendly menstrual practices, and ensure that no girl’s education is disrupted due to lack of resources.
With these expansions, the joint efforts of Teach for Change and the Veni Rao Foundation have positively impacted over 9,000 students and adolescent girls in government schools across the state.
